Tesla's unveiling of the much-hyped cyber-truck has ended in some sort of a fiasco.
The truck was said to have unbreakable windows but when that contention was put to the test, the windows shattered.
A hard object was hurled at the windows twice which ended up breaking the windows that had been hit.
The failed stunt has been described as a disgrace to Tesla boss Elon Musk who had spent the day boasting about the strength of the windows, saying that they were unbreakable.
"You want a truck that's really tough, not fake tough. You want a truck you can take a sledgehammer to, a truck that won't scratch, doesn't dent, " he told an audience in California according to Sky News.
Elon Musk consoled himself with the fact that the object did not go through the glass.
"Maybe that was a little too hard. At least it didn't go through. That's a plus side. We'll fix it in post, " he added
The only thing that seemed to have worked is the body which showed no damage after being hit with a sledgehammer.
Thanks to the botched demonstration, shares in Tesla plummeted significantly.
According to the Cable News Network (CNN), the most expensive version of the truck will have the capability of pulling up to 14,000 pounds and carry up to 3,500 pounds.
