In a video shared by the Daily Nation on Monday,  the first woman is seen with some documents making his way to the DP despite the presence of tight security.

The second in command was compelled to pause and listen to the woman, who appears heartbroken and discouraged in life.

The woman, whose name has not been revealed, persisted to the point that she started shedding tears before the second in command. At some point, she is seen handing him an M-Pesa pay bill number placard.

Plainclothes officers attempt to pull the woman away but Ruto intervened and stopped them The DP is heard telling the woman " Sit hear I will see you (Keti hapa nitakuona)"

It remains unclear what form of assistance the woman wanted from the DP.

A few seconds after the woman had been calmed down, another woman also stood up and walked to the DP to seek his audience. The congregation was left in shock and some murmuring could be heard from the crowd.

Ruto, however, assured the women that their issues would be resolved after he finished making his speech.

Several leaders were present during the service include Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro.  The incident comes at a time when Ruto has faced massive backlash over his generous donations in churches and other functions.
