Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) boss Dr Ezekiel Mutua has warned media houses against airing explicit content.
In a tweet on Thursday, Mutua claimed the media has put a lot of focus on bad things at the expense of good things that can build the nation.
''It's foolhardy for the media to corrupt moral values of our youths by focusing on negativity, immorality and sideshows at the expense of development. When the country loses its moral foundation no one is safe, not even the media. Many will close down and journalists will lose jobs,'' said Ezekiel Mutua.
''Schools are closed and kids are at home but our immoral and irresponsible media houses are airing pornographic content during the day in blatant breach of the watershed period. No sector operates with such impunity like the media. Your day will come guys. It will!,'' said Ezekiel Mutua.
The self-declared moral cop has always fought against the media airing bad content.
Yesterday, he gave an okay to social media users over the campaign to end the famous 10 over 10 show, aired live on Citizen TV.
