The house on Tuesday voted to condemn the president over his attacks on Ilhan Omar, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib and Ayanna Presley in a series of tweets on Sunday.

In one of his tweets, Trump bashed the group after they questioned the condition of an immigrant detention centre they had visited.

This is as the US government continues holding immigrants attempting to access the US from the Southern Border, which is set for a complete closure later on July 16.

In response, he said that the four "originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe" and should "go back, following it up with other tweets which have not been we'll be received by most leaders.

In retaliation, the debate was passed by 240-187 votes in the house, as allegations of xenophobia and racism continue marring Trump's leadership.

On their aide, the four women on Monday dismissed the remarks as a distraction, urging Americans to focus on polities and snub Trump's remarks.

The president has since rubbished claims of being racist, claiming that he doesn't even have a single racist bone in his body."I don't have a Racist bone in my body," he has since tweeted.
