Nyali member of Parliament Mohamed Ali now wants the family of Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho investigated.
Speaking in his constituency on Monday, the first time MP railed against the county boss's family for accepting a deal that would see it benefit from the transportation of goods on the Standard Gauge Railway.
He called on the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji and the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti to take action against the family.
"I want to tell the DPP, I want to tell the DCI that yesterday we saw what was written in the newspaper and we want you to take action against the family of the Mombasa governor, " the Nyali MP said.
The investigative journalist turned politician contended that the deal would hurt businesspeople who have invested in the transport business.
He accused Joho and his family of the hypocrisy of railing against the Naivasha dry port when the governor was seeking reelection but going silent after appending his signature on the lucrative deal.
Mohamed Ali's strong words mark an escalation in his ear of words against the Mombasa governor.
The two fell out in the build-up to the 2017 general elections after the Nyali MP lost the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party nomination to a relative of the county boss.
Mohamed Ali has long charged that Joho was involved in bungling the ODM nominations.
