Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu has spoken about his expectations in the new year 2020.
In a statement released to the media on Tuesday, Ngunjiri raised concern over the state of affairs in Jubilee party, and urged President Uhuru Kenyatta to take charge of the political outfit, amid cracks between different factions.
The lawmaker claimed that allies of Deputy President William Ruto are likely to break out of the party if they are not controlled.
Nguniri further noted that he expects all the leaders in the party to respect the president as he seeks to leave behind a legacy before he completes his tenure in office.
"I expect Jubilee will get more disciplined, mainly because I expect the President will be more involved as he has promised. Some people will shape up or ship out," he said.
The MP said it is important for the party to be re-organised, adding that some Jubilee leaders are not speaking in the same language as the president.
He cautioned leaders against derailing the agenda of the party, adding that for such leaders, there days are numbered.
