President Uhuru Kenyatta has reiterated his support to dairy farmers across the country.
Speaking on Saturday when he toured the newly revamped KCC factory in Dandora, President Uhuru asked farmers to take advantage of the unit to transform their lives.
He said that the factory is a big win for the farmers who have been lamenting over endless problems they face in the sector.
He also said that farmers need to improve the quality of the cows to generate more milk.
“Let us consider rearing grade cows that will help us boost the milk production that will enough for us and even get to where we can export to neighboring countries as well as the Gulf states and Arabia,” said Kenyatta, as quoted by Capital FM.
Uhuru also pledged to put in place more measures to ensure that farmers from different parts of the nation reap from the sector. The president warned the management of the farm against mismanaging the facility.
On their part, farmers thanked the President for the support he has kept on according to them over the years.
