Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Kipchumba Sudi has now told COTU and uhuru-Raila allys that Tanga Tanga leaders were in BBI to stay.
Speaking during an interdenominational prayer meeting held at Kapsigilai, Cherangany constituency in Trans Nzoia County on Saturday, he accused the pro Uhuru-Raila allies of wanting to push Tanga Tanga to oppose the BBI drive.
He said they were aware of their plot and promised to support BBI whether they like it or not.
"I want to tell the Mombasa people, especially Atwoli that we are all in for BBI whether you like it or not. We know your plot of pushing us so that we can oppose the BBI so that we can have 'YES and 'NO'. I want to tell you we cannot oppose BBI, even if you wake up tomorrow and say you want to change the constitution my friends we will be there with you," the Kapseret legislator noted.
He accused the BBI team of using police to oppress those who tried to oppose it giving an instance of Kakamega where former Kakamega senator and Ruto's allies were forced to suspend their planned meeting.
"While we trying to popularize this BBI we should not use police force to intimidate those who have different views about BBI. Lets first respect our constitution as we try to change it,"he added.
Oscar Sudi is among the Tangatanga leaders allied to the Deputy president.
