The leader of Thirdway Alliance Party, Dr Ekuru Aukot, has made public his intentions to relaunch the Punguza Mizigo Initiative.
Writing on Twitter on Thursday, Dr Aukot revealed that he was in the process of putting the final touches to the initiative's fundamental pillars.
He said he was doing this as required by the Constitution of Kenya.
"Fellow Kenyans, the long wait for the relaunch of #PunguzaMizigoKenya #PMK is finally here. We are putting final touches to the general propositions as required in Article 257 of CoK 2010 READY TO RELAUNCH NEXT WEEK. Are you ready to be part of the relaunch? #PMK," the Thirdway Alliance leader wrote on Twitter.
Dr Aukot's initiative stalled after it failed to garner the necessary support to become law.
Only the members of the Uasin Gishu county assembly backed the initiative with the Thirdway Alliance boss alleging that the MCAs from other counties who shot it down were compromised.
Among high profile political figures who rubbished the initiative include the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga, who urged Kenyans to wait for the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).
The original draft of the Punguza Mizigo Initiative called for the significant reduction of political representation in the country and the abolition of the Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
