ODM boss Raila Odinga has addressed claims that the reorganisation of the country's governance structure as envisaged in the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report is aimed at creating a position for him.
Speaking on Sunday night in a prime time interview with NTV's Joseph Warungu, the former Prime Minister rubbished claims that BBI was all about accommodating his political ambitions.
"I don't see myself in that structure at the moment. I have never said that I want to be in any of those positions, " the ODM leader said.
Raila said that the new governance structure under the BBI was all about posterity and ensuring that all Kenyans feel included in the leadership of the country.
A section of politicians especially those allied to the Deputy President William Ruto have claimed that the BBI is a cynical plot to guarantee him political survival after the general elections.
The BBI came about after the dramatic handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and the ODM leader in 2018.
They have hailed the initiative as one that has the best interests of Kenyans at heart and not their own interests.
