Firebrand lawyer Miguna Miguna has reacted after Interior Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho reported Deputy President William Ruto to police.
Kibicho on Tuesday filed a complaint at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), where he accused the DP and MPs allied to him of harassment.
The powerful PS revisited a recent incident at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), where Ruto reportedly confronted him for allegedly sabotaging his 2022 presidential bid.
Kibicho told detectives that he was unable to perform his official duties properly since Ruto's camp is “threatening my life as a public officer”.
“Part of his statement indicates that the bashing and utterances by MPs allied to the DP are making it difficult for him to move freely around the country to execute his duties. He indeed looked disturbed,” an officer privy to the case intimated.
Kibicho has been mentioned as the convener of Hotel La Mada meeting involving Mount Kenya leaders, where alleged Ruto's assassination plot was hatched.
Others who have been mentioned in the same saga include Cabinet Secretaries; James Macharia (Transport), Joe Mucheru (ICT), Sicily Kariuki (Health) and Peter Munya (Trade).
Miguna on Thursday appeared to celebrate the tussle between Kibicho and Ruto which threatens to split the ruling Jubilee party.
He quoted a popular novel 'Things Fall Apart' by Nigerian author Chinua Achebe to laugh at the governing outfit, which he opined was 'dissolving'.
"Things fall apart. The centre cannot hold. The despots are dissolving before the revolutionaries arrive. Patriots, mobilize! Mobilise! Mobilise! You have nothing to lose but your chains and poverty," Miguna tweeted.
