Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi has claimed that the National Super Alliance (NASA) exists legally.
Mudavadi dismissed claims that the NASA coalition has dissolved, adding that for the three parties needed to exist in order for the coalition to dissolve.
NASA coalition was composed of Musalia Mudavadi's Amani National Congress, Moses Wetangula'sFord Kenya, Kalonzo Musyoka's Wiper party and Raila Odinga's ODM.
The NASA coalition contested against The National Alliance (TNA) that emerged victorious in the presidential election.
"Legally NASA exists, NASA has not been wound up. For NASA to come to closure you need at least three political parties walking away officially. As I speak to you now, none of the constituent parties has walked away," Mudavadi said on an interview with Citizen TV.
Mudavadi who is considered to have been the brain behind the formation of the NASA coalition nonetheless admitted that they had experienced issues among the members of the coalition.
"But I would also be cheating myself and cheating Kenyans if I said we have not had our few cold moments. There have been cold moments," Mudavadi said.
Mudavadi's dismissal of the dissolution of the NASA coalition comes after ODM party leader Raila Odinga hinted that the coalition may no longer be in existence.
ODM party secretary Edwin Sifuna had also announced during the Kibra by-election that ODM was no longer a member of NASA.
