Speaking in a Nairobi Court, Rodah noted that Mr Linturi paid Sh100,000 as dowry.

“The dowry was supposed to be in the form of animals, but Linturi’s team said it would be cumbersome to transport animals all the way from Meru. So, they gave us cash Ksh100, 000 as dowry," said Rodah as quoted by K24tv

Rodah, who appeared in court as Marianne's witness recounted the happening of that day.

She stated that she remembers everything that took place on the dowry day.

On that day, Marieanne got locked away in her room at their home in Nandi.

On completion of the dowry negotiation, she was brought out and asked to identify the man whom she wanted to marry.

She identified Linturi who was among other people who had accompanied him.

Maryanne was then asked if she loved him, which she said yes. The same question was asked to Linturi who also said yes.

Rodah, 65 years old, also told the court that she used to visit Linturi's home in Meru.

“I went to Meru and met Linturi’s father during the 2016 Christmas holiday. I went there in my capacity as an in-law," said Chepkoech as quoted by K24tv.

Senator Linturi and Marieanne, the ex-DP Ruto chief of staff, are battling out on their divorce case in court.
