A man in the viral video assaulting a female security guard has finally been arrested.
In a video that got shared many times on social media sites on Monday evening, the man, Justus Kamoja was seen beating a female guard at a gate of an apartment in Komarock area.
Kenyans shared the video calling on the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to arrest the man and take appropriate actions against him.
The DCI on Tuesday revealed that they are looking for the man.
In a tweet hours later, the DCI has now confirmed that they have arrested the culprit.
''#ARRESTED| Mr Justus KAMOJA who was captured on a video assaulting a female Security Guard at Komarock has been arrested. The 30yr old suspect will be arraigned in court once necessary Police action is complete. Many thanks to all those that contacted us! @MmarcusKe|@CisNyakundi,'' said DCI.
The police have condemned such actions against people in their line of duty.
The female security guard was called by the police where she recorded a formal complaint to have the man arrested and charged accordingly.
This is not the first time a man has been captured on CCTV cameras assaulting a female.
Last week, another man, a supermarket supervisor was captured on CCTV Camera assaulting a female teller.
