North Mugirango MP Joash Nyamoko has dismissed claims that he is sleeping on his job.
The lawmaker while speaking on Wednesday morning when he appeared for an interview at a vernacular radio station, Minto FM, reiterated his committed to serving the people of North Mugirango.
“I can confirm that I am not lazy as it is being claimed. I was elected to serve the people not sleep on the job. I urge the people of North Mugirango to be patient and allow me to serve them diligently,” said Nyamoko.
He termed his political rivals desperate and asked them to wait for 2022 polls.
The vocal MP opined that the people of North Mugirango deserve a leader like him who is development-oriented but not leaders with hidden interests.
“I have respect to my competitors but it is important for my rivals to also respect me and give me humble time to deliver. I am open to consultation in matters development in the constituency. Politics based on hatred and falsehood won’t help realize development in the constituency,” he added.
He appealed to locals to ignore local politicians whose interests are to ascend to power to benefit themselves.
