Felix has said that the Milele FM presenter is criminalising success with non-existent theories.

Jalang'o on Thursday in a fiery post said that bright students should forget about the good grades they get in class and humble themselves like those who performed poorly for them to cope with city life.

He suggested that learners should get good grades in class but urged A students to behave like D students for them to survive in today's Kenya which is dogged by unemployment.

"A does not guarantee you a job! Coming to Nairobi and thinking that there is a place for you and a job for you because you are a first class honours student is a very big lie! To survive with your A you must have a mentality of a D student! A D student believes and knows very well that there is nowhere his papers will take him, so he knows that for him to survive he must work a miracle and the miracle is working !!, read Jalas's post in part.

Jalang’o’s remarks came barely a week after the plight of Kevin Ochieng Obede was highlighted on Citizen TV. The student was homeless in the street with no job even after graduating with first-class honours in Actuarial Science from the University of Nairobi in 2017.

In a rejoinder, Felix, asked Jalang'o to desist treating success in school like crime.

"Don't criminalize success with non-existent theories about A student this and D Student that (sic). By the way, it is a beautiful thing to get an A. And we must encourage young people who have the chance to be in school to get the best grades they can," read Felix's response on Facebook in part.

"No one should glorify getting a D. We wont criminalize it, but boy, don't make people think they were somehow stupid waking up and working for good grades," he concluded.
