ODM leader Raila Odinga on Saturday hosted Nairobi leadership over the upcoming Kibra constituency by-election slated for November 7th.
The veteran opposition leader is said to be keen with the by-election for the region he represented in Parliament for two decades since 1992.
At his Karen home, Mr Odinga laid down strategies for the campaigns, with an aim of evaluating how the party shall retain the seat left vacant by Ken Okoth.
"PL @RailaOdinga & Mama @IdaOdinga yesterday hosted the leadership of the party from Nairobi County at their residence in Karen. They discussed the ongoing campaign in a Kibra with the aim of ensuring the party retains the seat. County Chair Hon. George Aladwa led the delegation," ODM party tweeted.
The Nairobi team's visit comes a day after they visited ODM Director of Campaigns and Suna East MP Junet Mohamed, who exuded confidence that the party will retain the seat.
ODM nominated Imran Okoth as candidate for the seat a week ago. Most of his competitors within the party have since supported him for the seat.
"Hosted incoming Kibra MP Hon. @ImranOkoth together with my colleagues Hon. T.J Kajwang’ (Ruaraka) and Hon. George Aladwa (Makadara). Kibra ni ODM. Karibu Bunge," Junet said.
Present at Raila's residence were Babu Owino, George Aladwa, TJ Kajwang and nominated Senator Beatrice Kwamboka. All Nairobi MPs will take part in campaigns.
