After setting the worst record ever for Arsenal since 1992 of playing seven matches without a win Unai Emery seems to have lost it at all.  There is no coming back for the Spaniard who has lost favor from the impatient fans calling for his sacking.

Unai thought his lads would recover from the below-par performance witnessed at the hands Southampton over the weekend but that seems to have just been an episode in his horrific show. Arsenal lost 1-2 at home at the hands of Eintracht Frankfurt leaving them in a miserable position where they have to win the final group match in order to top the group F in the Europa League.

In the first half, Arsenal seemed to be on their way to collect their first win since Nicolas  Pepe’s heroics that earned them three points sometime in October. This was informed by Aubumayengs 10th goal of the season that went in the 45th minute. However, things got worse in the second half as Daichi Kamanda’s brace condemned arsenal to their first loss in the group.

This took place as arsenal recorded their lowest ever turnout at Emirates of 49,149 according to the official figures of tickets sold but with the look of a naked eye, the numbers were slightly below 30,000.

Even the pairing of Granit Xhaka and David Luiz at the heart of midfield could not save the face of Unai as  Xhaka limped throughout the second half with an ankle problem while Luiz went off in the first half with a chest problem.

Will he survive the chop after the four games he was given by the board to prove his worth have elapsed catastrophically? Something surely needs to change at the north London club, it has to be Emery.
