Following his release, Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro and the Secretary of Innovation, Digital and Diaspora Communication in the Office of the President Dennis Itumbi took to Twitter to express their reactions.

Nyoro maintained that the authorities had failed to obey court orders by keeping Moses Kuria in police custody.

Senior Principal Magistrate Kennedy Cheruiyot had issued an order on Friday that Moses Kuria is released on cash bail while awaiting his hearing.

"Our tormentors have released Hon Moses Kuria on a cash bail. This doesn't take away the fact that they disregarded court orders. Kenya has no more place for autocrats. We are African and Africa is our Business," Nyoro stated on twitter.

Itumbi who also doubles up as a blogger celebrated the release of Moses Kuria on his Twitter page.

He further advocated for freedom of expression.

"Hon. Moses Kuria Freed! We fight winning battles! Freedom of expression cannot be exchanged with anything!" Itumbi tweeted.

Kuria had been arrested by police for allegedly physically assaulting a woman at Royal Media Services.

Several leaders expressed their support for Moses Kuria and demanded for his release.
