Turbo MP Janet Sitienei now wants a lifestyle audit done on opposition leader Raila Odinga.
This is after Raila last week in an exclusive interview with Citizen TV asked Deputy President William Ruto to step down citing that he ha been hosting different delegates at his Sugoi home at a very high cost.
Speaking in Eldoret town on Tuesday, Sitienei said this will show Kenyans how the opposition chief acquired his wealth.
“As leaders from the region, we are not happy with the way Raila is attacking the Deputy President. I, therefore, call for an external audit to be done on him before it's done to the Deputy President as he had said,” said Sitienei.
He reiterated that it is not in Raila's place to determine who is corrupt and who is not.
“It’s the mandate of the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI), Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) and the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) to investigate and determine corruption cases and not Raila Odinga,” added the first-term legislator.
