Former Jubilee party Vice Chairman David Murathe caused a stir last Saturday in Murang'a when he presented two CVs to President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The two were attending the funeral to popular Benga maestro John De Mathew, who was laid to rest in Gatanga, a week after being involved in a road accident.

Ex-Kiambu Governor William Kabogo had forgotten to present the CVs for two of De Mathew's children, a move that informed Murathe's decision to give them to Uhuru.

"I have CV's belonging to two of De' Mathew's daughters that I will hand to the president," Kabogo said amid laughter.

"Apologies but if I sit without saying this I will be in trouble. I have with me two close friends of De Mathew and have helped in the burial committee. David Murathe and Peter Kenneth," the former Kiambu boss spoke.

Murathe, who has openly dismissed DP Ruto's chances, walked gently to Uhuru and handed over the two CVs. The Head of State received them.

As Murathe continued to deliver his speech, Uhuru is seen scrutinising them. After some few minutes, the Head of State hands them over to State House Comptroller Kinuthia Mbugua.

"The work De' Matthew and I have done will not stop. He went to roadshows and spoke to the youth on alcohol. Before he passed on, we had decided that we would talk to the president on continuing with the work," Murathe divulged.

Mr Murathe resigned as Jubilee Vice Chairman early this year. He vowed to form a stop Ruto Movement, which has gained momentum in Mt Kenya.
