Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru has told off those who were not happy with the way the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) launch program was handled.
Speaking on Wednesday during the 'Pointblank' show on KTN moderated by controversial television show host Tony Gachoka, the county boss said that the way the program was handled and the speakers that were allowed to speak were justified.
According to the governor, it made sense that those who spoke strongly in support of the BBI were actively involved in its launch.
"I don't know why anyone was complaining. Those people who spoke there have been the advocates of BBI from the very beginning. You cannot go to launch a product with people who are anti that product, " she said.
During the launch of the BBI, Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen, who also doubles up as the Leader of Majority in the Senate, took issue with the way the programme was being run when he rose to speak.
He claimed that people who had opposing views were being muzzled.
"This programme has been skewed to leave other people who have different opinions to speak what they want to say. If we are going to build an honest Kenya going forward, we must be able to put our views on the ground," Murkomen charged.
