Ngunjiri said together with his colleagues in the Kieleweke faction, they had been invited for a fundraiser in Gitui Catholic Church in Kiharu constituency, and all was going well until area MP Ndindi Nyoro arrived.

"Today (Sunday) we were in a church function. We not speak any siasa. We did not speak at all. Ndindi came to the church, tried to run the program, faced resistance from the organizers, got into a physical confrontation that ended up having the police called in, grappled with police near the church altar," he posted on Facebook

In a video clip doing rounds on social media, Nyoro is seen trying to engage into a physical fight with Nominated MP Maina Kamanda as their supporters and security officers try to separate them.

Ngunjiri seemed to blame the Kiharu MP, a vocal member of Deputy President William Ruto allied Tanga Tanga group, over the chaos and defended Kieleweke team against allegations of 'gate-crashing' at Nyoro's territory.

The MP has been on the headlines on several occasions for allegedly disrupting Tanga Tanga functions in his Nyeri Town constituency.

Singling out the recent Inua Mama, Jenga Taifa function in Nyeri that ended prematurely after he stormed in, Ngunjiri defended his action saying he made a 'peaceful appearance' after the women leaders started insulting him.

"When Inua Mama had an event and used their platform to insult me me all manner of unprintable names, I showed up and did NOTHING. They finished, and left," the vocal MP added.
