The suspect allegedly stabbed Joseph Mwangi severally at Gikuni village in Kabete, before escaping from the scene on a motorbike, apparently after a love wrangle.

According to area Nyumba Kumi initiative, David Gacuruba, the woman was double dealing the deceased with another man, and was seen running away with the other boyfriend.

The incident was confirmed by Kabete Police Commander Anthony Maina who conformed receiving the reports, adding that a search has been launched for both suspects.

He called upon people in relationships to get better ways of ironing out their issues rather than turning to violence which results in such occurrences.

"Please, let us consider other ways of handling disagreements in households instead of taking the law into our own hands and killing each other,” the police boss is quoted by the Citizen Digital.

The body of the deceased is being preserved at the Thogoto MGT morgue.

This comes barely a year after another woman from the county was arrested over similar allegations, after reportedly stabbing her boyfriend to death in Kamwangi, Gatundu North.

Lucy Wanjiru Wambui was accused of stabbing 28-year-old Vincent Mwangi Karanja after a domestic disagreement ensued, after which she fled the scene but was arrested later.

She too was accused of using a kitchen knife to repeatedly stab the victim on the chest.
