For the second time in as many months, Waiguru has written to Noordin Haji, demanding to know the outcome of the probe in relation to affidavits sworn by Josephine Kabura that grossly implicated her.

"My 6th letter to EACCK and another one to the office of the DPP requesting them to make public the findings of the Kabura affidavit. Three years have lapsed," noted Waiguru.

She further sought to know; "Who was behind Kabura lies; Who wrote the affidavit; who distributed it; and why? To whom did the Kabura money actually go? Any action being taken?"

Last year, Waiguru buried the hatchet with opposition leader Raila Odinga over the scandal and promised to withdraw the defamation case against the latter in the spirit of a handshake.

In 2016, Mr Odinga linked Waiguru, then the Devolution Minister to the loss of over Sh600 million, a claim that Ms Waiguru vehemently denied.

And Josephine Kabura, the hairdresser who produced a damning affidavit against Waiguru, remains in the governor's memory as she seeks to clear her name.

"We are writing to you to establish about the progress in the investigations on the Josephine Kabura affidavit. Our client feels inconvenienced over the same," read the letter.
