Teacher Peter Tabichi has been named the brand ambassador of Dettol Soaperhero for 2020.
Tabichi will spearhead the programme, which was unveiled in August 2019, to counter cases of increased sanitization related ailments.
He will work with teachers and other stakeholders in the nation to educate schoolgoing children.
Tabichi, who came into the limelight after bagging Sh100 million Varkey Foundation Global Teacher Prize 2019, has shown his commitment to transform the lives of millions of people not only in African but also the entire continent.
Africa health expansion director Dele Adeyole confirmed the new endorsement.
“Dettol has over the years focused its interventions on school hygiene programs, targeting children in both urban and rural areas. Today, we are honoured to partner with ‘the world’s best teacher’ in the fight against hygiene-based diseases in our schools,” Adeyole said in part.
Following his appointment, Tabichi is expected to champion the cause in at least nine million kids from different institutions of learning.
The new project is currently in its pilot phase and the firm is optimistic that it will bear fruits at the end of the day.
Tabichi has been going places since he bagged the prestigious award. He has rubbed shoulders with the likes of US President Donald Trump among others.
