Amani National Congress Musalia Mudavadi has yet again launched a scathing attack on opposition leader Raila Odinga, accusing him of double speak.
For over one year, Mr Odinga has been supporting President Uhuru Kenyatta, following their unprecedented truce in March 2018 that caught their handlers unaware.
Although Mr Odinga was appointed AU High Representative for Infrastructural Development, he has been meeting ministers, raising questions about his role in government.
But Mr Mudavadi, on Sunday demanded that Odinga state terms about his association with government, adding that his dealings were not genuine.
"We must stop this hypocrisy. You cannot be in government then you claim that you're in opposition. You cannot serve the two simultaneously. How? It's impossible.
"I said that I am not interested with a job. I never took any job. In any democracy, those who win elections form government. Because you wanted that government, just wait for your turn just like me. I'll form government when that time comes," he said.
On the impending referendum, Mudavadi wondered why Mr Odinga was pushing for the same yet the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission is yet to be reformed.
According to him, the referendum will make sense if IEBC commissioners are kicked out of office, adding that they created controversy in 2017.
"It's funny that you can push for a referendum yet the same people who bangled our victory are in office. You can't trust such people to conduct a free and fair referendum," he said.
While Kalonzo Musyoka and Raila Odinga were rewarded for supporting President Uhuru Kenyatta, Mudavadi has insisted that such move amounts to betrayal to NASA supporters.
