Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has hit out at Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala and ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna for dragging politics into the recent evictions in Nandi county.
In a post on his official Facebook page, Thursday, Sudi asked members of the public to exercise patience as leaders seek to resolve the matter irrespective of the court's directive.
The vocal lawmaker further noted that the leaders would put their heads together to ensure that all people earmarked for eviction from the disputed land do not remain 'homeless'.
However, Sudi has taken issue with Sifuna and Malala for dragging politics of tribe to a matter he termed as 'sensitive'.
He referred to the duo as 'the worst idiots'.
"Regarding Kaptabongen land in Chesumei, Nandi County, where close to 1250 people were allegedly evicted by the 'owner' of the land, we want to urge calm as leaders engage on how these people will be settled regardless of the court decision. We will not play politics out of this issue and no single luhya will be rendered homeless because it doesn't beat logic for one person to evict close to1250 people. Senator Cleophas Malala and Edwin Sifuna are the worst idiots have ever seen, infact I can term the duo as the worst fools. You cannot react to such a sensitive matter by inciting locals, threatening other leaders and politicising the whole issue...," read part of Sudi's post.
About 15,00 families have lost their homes after they were evicted following a disputed land at a number of places in Chesumei constituency, Nandi county.
On Thursday, six leaders from Western, Cleophas Malala (Kakamega senator) Caleb Amisi ( Saboti), Florence Mutua (Busia Woman Representative), George Aladwa Makadara), Geoffrey Osotsi (nominated) and ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna held a press conference where they condemned the evictions.
The six threatened to ban Deputy President William Ruto from setting foot in Western Kenya if he does not ensure that the evictees, who were perceived to be Luhyas were given back their land.
