Deputy President William Ruto should first offer an apology for Kenya's Post Election Violence that rocked the country in 2007/08, Ngunjiri Wambugu has said.
The DP has been accusing ODM of sponsoring violence in reference to Kibra by-election that saw a number of Tangatanga brigade leaders evicted from the region.
But Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu says the DP should first apologize for the Rift Valley violence which saw thousands displaced from their homes.
"You most probably want to apologise for PEV in Rift Valley in 2007, before you point fingers at others, Sir," said Mr Wambugu, a proponent of handshake.
In a tweet, Dr Ruto demanded that ODM leader Raila Odinga apologises to the public following the violence which rocked Kibra constituency.
“As Kenyans we demand that Tinga, his party unconditionally, unequivocally and publicly RENOUNCE the culture of violence, chaos, terror and gangsterism their signature modus operandi as witnessed in Kibra & unreservedly apologise to victims past and present for their hurt and loss.”
Jubilee candidate McDonald Mariga lost by more than half of votes to ODM's Imran Okoth. Jubilee has been accusing ODM of allegedly unleashing goons.
Dr Ruto was linked to 2007 PEV but he was cleared by the International Criminal Court after over six years of tussles with prosecutors at The Hague based court.
Both Dr Ruto and Mr Odinga have been engaged in a war of words in recent weeks, with President Uhuru Kenyatta's succession said to be one of contributing factors.
