Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa has weighed in on the upcoming Bukhungu Stadium Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) to be held over the weekend.
The outspoken legislator urged the public to ignore the conveners of the much-hyped meeting, describing them as masqueraders and busy bodies.
Didmus Barasa held the view that it is the gazetted members of the steering committee that can give directions on how to proceed with the BBI.
"The gazetement of names of BBI steering commitee renders the proponents of the 18th Kakamega BBI meeting as Masqueraders,Wife swindlers,Impersonators and busy bodies who should be ignored at all cost. Let us wait for the direction by the gazetted Steering commitee (sic)," Barasa said.
"The gazetted Steering committee will be guided by law and drive such meetings in a well structured manner. The Mumias meeting is similar to the Sagana one convened by Mt Kenya Leaders under the leadership of H.E Uhuru Kenyatta," he added.
Anticipation is building ahead of the Bukhungu Stadium rally even as allies of the Deputy President Dr William Ruto contend that the meeting is a sinister attempt to prepare Raila Odinga for the 2022 presidential contest.
The meeting will come a week after a similar meeting was held in Kisii County.
