Speaking during an interview on Citizen TV Tuesday,  Shollei said that the nation has a constitution, adding that leaders should desist from making such comments while in public.

“Everybody is talking about us going for a referendum, legally that is wrong and if we have a constitution in this country that is not the way we should be speaking,” she opined.

Shollei also blamed the media for allegedly spreading false information on the BBI report. She noted that the leaders in her camp have said repeatedly that they are fully behind the BBI report, adding that those claiming they are against the process are not only misleading Kenyans but also painting them in bad light.

“The media should not push a trajectory that we are against BBI, how many times do I have to say I support BBI for you people to change your minds?" she asked.

She further said that leaders should now use the BBI platforms to address their problems and then find solutions to them. Shollei further said that it is important for leaders to consult each other before they can make critical decisions on different matters of public interest.

“I want us to move from lamenting and stating our problems to solutions…why are we going back to the people when we had said in paragraph one that it is the most consultative in the history of Kenya," she stated.
