It has been exactly three years since the 'disappearance' of Kenya’s mystical man Jehovah Wanyonyi whom the family wants us to believe he lives.
Well, his family, which includes 95 children and 70 wives has stuck to the notion that he still lives. They in fact want everyone to believe that and will ultimately frown when they hear you say their god is dead.
There have been varied reports of how he could have possibly died with the most consistent being that he could have succumbed to acute malaria.
This is someone who had claimed to have the power to cure Aids. But in his special case, it seems Aids is easier to cure than Malaria.
Here is someone who claimed the biblical Jesus Christ was his own son and yet he could not save himself from malaria.
His domiciliary habitation in Chemoroch village, Uasin Gishu, still stands to date with his family and close followers guarding it with their lives.
If a morgue attendant's assertion is to be believed, then, Jehova was buried somewhere around July 2015.
"You can clearly see that the body of 80-year-old Michael Mumboyi was booked on 18th July but was taken away at 7:20 am on July 19. We did not know he was Jehova but Mobet Assistant Chief who came with the deceased kinsmen and said he was the one," a morgue attendant once said in an interview with Nation.
His family and close followers do not want to hear anything to do with his death.
The Nation managed to catch up with one of his priests at the time of his disappearance and he had this to say:
"We have not received new information about Mungu Mwenyeenzi Jehovah Wanyonyi since he was taken ill. It is you people who are telling us a burial permit was issued by the administration. I will share the information with our followers who have been anxious, " said Masinde, a priest.
We all know he somehow died but the question still remains, was he buried? Where was he buried?
