Former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka and ex- Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti have joined other leaders in mourning the demise of 157 people who had boarded the ill-fated Ethiopian Airline plane.
All the passengers aboard including the pilot perished during the plane crash.
The plane crashed only six minutes after it took off from the Ethiopian Airport.
Kalonzo described the incident as a big blow to this nation.
He said the deaths are among the saddest things that have ever happened to this country in the recent past.
Former Kenya Football Federation (KFF) Secretary General Hussein Swaleh is among those who died following the incident.
“My heartfelt condolences to all those who lost their loved ones in the Ethiopian Airlines passenger jet crash which killed 149 passengers and eight crew members onboard. #EthiopianAirlines,” Kalonzo tweeted on Sunday.
In her message, Ndeti said her prayers are with the victims' families.
“My deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of those who tragically lost their lives in the #EthiopianAirlines plane crash. It is in moments like this that we remember how fragile and precious life is. We mourn with you and send our thoughts and prayers to you all,” Ndeti tweeted.
