Safety questions continue to arise over the management of Silverstone company, which operates several aircrafts across the country.
In a video making rounds on social media, a Silverstone plane was captured colliding partially with another aircraft within Wilson Airport on Sunday.
The plane, which was about to take off, had one of the wings colliding with a parked plane. Interestingly, the pilot of the aircraft in question did not stop to make any inspection.
It could not be immediately established where the aircraft was destined to. A section of social media users among them ODM Director of Communications Philip Etale have called for thorough probe.
A fortnight ago, a Silverstone plane skidded off the runway, injuring dozens of passengers. Among those who survived the minor crash was Nyamira Woman Representative Jerusha Momanyi.
The first term legislator was admitted at Nairobi Hospital. She was released last week after doctors established that she was out of danger.
On Monday, another Silverstone plane made emergency landing at Eldoret International Airport after one of its wheel dropped off. It was flying from Lodwar airstrip.
Silverstone confirmed the incident in a statement saying that the plane from Lodwar lost the number 3 wheel assembly.
"The captain of the flight decided to divert to Eldoret International Airport in the interests of the continued safety of the passengers and the crew. This was a precautionary action and the aircraft landed safely," the airline's management said.
Uasin Gishu Police Commander Johnstonne Ipara says all the passengers and crew were evacuated safely from the aircraft immediately it landed at the airport.
