Political analyst Dismas Mokua has predicted another Raila Odinga candidature in the much anticipated 2022 general election presidential race.
This, however, comes amid Raila's silence regarding the issue, and has kept mum on declaring whether or not he will be taking his fifth shot at the top seat.
But according to Mokua, Raila's presence in 2022 will most likely translate to another bid, and there is need for people to expect him on the ballot once again.
"Probability of Raila Odinga running in 2022 if he is around is almost 100 percent," he said in an interview on KTN's Inside Politics on Sunday.
His remarks were however slightly faulted by fellow panelist Roseline Obala who noted that the ex-premier has not made such a declaration yet, and seems more interested in other things.
She observed that the leader has demonstrated that he is more committed to making the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) work, and has placed all his attention there.
"I think Raila has not come out openly to talk about his contest in 2022 and he has been more focused on the BBI," said the commentator.
At the same time, she noted that a tough job awaits both Raila and President Uhuru Kenyatta with whom they founded the same in legitimizing the currently amorphous body.
Obala noted that in its current state, the BBI is unconstitutional, especially with regards to it's push for a referendum, which places a tough task on him and Uhuru to make it work.
