In a tweet on Tuesday, Miguna said that Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu has taken advantage of the order by the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) Noordin Haji on the arrest of Treasury CS Henry Rotich and other 26 officials to destroy evidence that could have seen her arrested over graft claims.

Miguna asked the DPP to be vigilant in the war against graft as he seeks to assist President Uhuru Kenyatta to leave a legacy when he retires from office.

“Is Charity Ngilu busy destroying evidence of looting in Kituyi as Kenyans are distracted by Despot Uhuru Kenyatta's cheap political games at Treasury?” he tweeted.

The fire at the county offices destroyed furniture, computers, and cabinets.

On the arrest of CS Rotich, Miguna has accused the DPP of pulling PR stunts. He has insisted that the suspects in the loss of billions in the Arror and Kimwarer Dams Projects will walk scot-free after some time.

The former Nairobi Gubernatorial candidate has cast doubt on the outcome from the courts.

Rotich, Kamau Thugge (Treasury Principal Secretary), Jackson Kinyanjui (Treasury Director of resource mobilization) among other officials from the Treasury are currently appearing in court over the scandal.
