In a tweet on Thursday, the Prof claimed Raila has left behind so many casualties in his political journey, majority of them being from Western Kenya.

He claimed Raila appears to have forgotten the harm he has done to area politicians, hence his audacity to continue visiting the region, without feeling any guilt.

He made the remarks in reference to Raila's Thursday visit to Butere in Kakamega County, where he met a number of area politicians.

The political analyst listed former Vice President the late Kijana Wamalwa and ex-Budalangi lawmaker Ababu Namwamba, as some of the area politicians who have Raila to blame for their political troubles.

"I did not attend the Butere meeting but had I gone I would have reminded Raila he was feasting in a land he has created most political casualties including former VP Wamalwa, Weta (Moses Wetangula), Musalia (Mudavadi), Namwamba , (Wafula) Buke ,(Paul) Otwoma, Boni (Khalwale). Which Luhya leader has similar casualties in Nyanza?" he posed.

The mentioned politicians have at some point worked with Raila before parting ways, with Mudavadi and Wetangula even backing his 2013 and 2017 futile presidential bids.

However, Raila seems no longer in good terms with them, and is riding on the backing of a younger generation of area politicians to retain his influence in Western Kenya.

Raila now appears more closer to the likes of ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna, Saboti MP Caleb Amisi, Vihiga Senator George Khaniri and his Kakamega counterpart Cleophas Malala.
