Social media users have expressed mixed reactions after renown TV presenter Tony Gachoka was arrested.
Gachoka, the host of KTN's Pointblank show was arrested on Wednesday at Diani Airstrip in Kwale County for allegedly causing disturbance.
Citizen Digital reported that the disturbance emerged after the presenter was allegedly prevented from boarding the plane with alcoholic drinks.
A section of Kenyans on Twitter criticized Gachoka over what they termed as 'preaching water and drinking wine'.
Another group of the netizens politicized the matter dragging the names of renown politicians into the case. Some even claimed the arrest was a form of diversion from the heated politics in Malindi where Member of Parliament for Malindi Aisha Jumwa was arrested.
Gachoka is also known for being a political activist.
A number of the cyber citizens nonetheless defended the TV presenter citing that the case was being exaggerated.
Gachoka is set to be presented in court on Thursday where he will answer to the charges of causing a disturbance.
