Former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth has revealed that the late Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore was a talented and experienced pilot.
In an interview on Citizen TV’s JKL Live, Kenneth said that Bob flew him to different places on several occasions. He noted that the deceased had amazing Helicopter control skills and he enjoyed his company so much until he learned about his untimely death.
Kenneth also said that it was a privilege to be part of Collymore's 'Boys club'.
Kenneth recalled that Collymore had picked him up in Nairobi before they flew to Lamu where they were set to spend some time. While in Lamu, he recalls Bob receiving a call. At first, he was not aware that Collymore was talking to President Uhuru Kenyatta.
"He goes to a corner of the boat, and he's in this very tight conversation looking serious so I ask him what's wrong with you we didn't come here for phone calls," Kenneth said in part.
Collymore died on Monday after a long battle with cancer. Friends, relatives, leaders and the general public has continued to eulogise him as a great man who lived life to the fullest.
He dedicated his time to serve the people and he interacted with everyone regardless of their status in society.
