Contestants in inaugural Ms President Reality TV show are in the final stages of winding the competition following a heated 'Presidential' debate on Wednesday.
Launched in 2018, the competition brought together hundreds of Kenyan women who went through auditions before venturing into the contest.
The competition is meant to challenge more women to venture into elective politics in a rather patriarchal Africa societies and will be held in subsequent years.
Nyamira contestant Irene Mayaka, who is also an ODM nominated MCA, expressed confidence that she would eventually be announced the winner on 31st July.
"I have traversed the country and articulated issues confidently. I have no doubt that I'll be crowned champion when that day comes," she said after the debate on Wednesday.
"Throughout my time in Kenyan politics, I have been pushing for women leadership and I believe my victory will be inspiration to many," she added.
Apart from the ongoing popular voting, judges will look at many aspects among them, the candidates creativity in approach to contemporary issues.
Also in the contest are Umulkher Mohammed from Garissa, Betty Adera of Nairobi, Nereah Amondi of Homa Bay and Waruguru Kiai from Nyeri.
Canadian government and European Union, who are the major sponsors of the show, are expected to launch a mega project in the county of origin of the winner.
