Vocal scholar Prof Edward Kisangani has questioned Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen on whether the Mombasa BBI rally ended prematurely because Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria was present.
In a tweet on Sunday evening, Kisangani showered accolades to Senator Murkomen for attending the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) sensitization forum.
Further, the political analyst asked the lawmaker who is also a close ally to the deputy president William Ruto if the Mombasa event came to a close because Moses Kuria had attended.
The Kenyatta University lecturer wondered whether the planners of the function feared Moses Kuria had a 'poisonous' message to pass through.
On Saturday, government and opposition leaders held a Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) sensitization forum in Mombasa.
"I laud @kipmurkomen and his team for attending the Mombasa rally even though their opinion was not going to count anyway. But now I ask Senator Murkomen: Did the presence of MP Moses Kuria cause the abruptly ending of the Mombasa BBI rally? How poisonous was Moses Kuria?" Wondered Kisangani.
The meeting was allegedly cut short when Moses Kuria was given the microphone to make his remarks.
ODM leader Raila Odinga and his Wiper Democratic Movement Kalonzo Musyoka led the opposition faction.
Elgeyo Marakwet senator Kipchumba Murkomen was among the Tanga Tanga section of Jubilee who attended the event. Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu led the Kieleweke group during the meeting.
