In a Facebook post on Thursday, Wambugu alluded that Wahome has decided to spread propaganda for her political mileage. The lawmaker noted that the remarks of the colleague have no basis at all. He noted that Wahome would not have made such remarks if at all what she is saying has an iota of truth in the same.

"Alice is trying too hard. The irony is that if what she’s saying was true, she wouldn't be saying it. But," he responded.

The Kandara lawmaker had said that it is evident that the President wants to remain in power even after he completes his second and final term. She argued that the writing is on the wall and Kenyans cannot afford to ignore the same at all costs.

She claimed that the remarks of Cotu Secretary General Francis Atwoli and Former Jubilee Vice Chairman David Murathe clearly show that something is brewing somewhere.

She further asked the President to come clean on what he is up to before it is too late for Kenyans to decide the way forward.

“The biggest existential threat to Kenya’s declining economy, democracy, and freedom of expression, political affiliation and growth is Uhuru Kenyatta because he is on the driver’s seat,” she said.
