Speaking during an interview on Citizen TV's JKL show on Wednesday, Sakaja said that he was against the appointment of a committee from the Senate to hear the case because he read malice from the move.

The youthful Senator insisted that the entire house should hear the issue and decide on the same.

"According to the law, once the county assembly members from the Kiambu county assembly felt it wise to pass an impeachment motion against governor Ferdinard Clifford Waititu, that is then passed to the Senate. The drama at the Senate is that the law provides that the Senate can listen to the matter or create a committe of eleven members to listen to the issue. I remember when I got into the house there was a lot of drama some members were saying this and that some of these members are all aligned to one party or faction of the party," Sakaja said.

He added: "But, when we looked at it and I was actually able to pursuade my colleagues but the issue was who or not because you cannot tell this is Tangatanga or Kieleweke. Those are foreign terms we should not have them. We are all Jubilee members for all those who are elected through Jubilee and I say that was going to be dangerous because a committee of eleven members if you look at our standing orders six are from Jubilee and 5 are from NASA."

The Senate decided to go the planery way in discussing the impeachment of Waititu.
