The postmortem of the late billionaire Tob Cohen has been postponed yet again, three days after his body was retrieved.
Pathologist Peter Ndegwa disclosed that he has pulled out of the process because the defence team didn't want him involved.
The autopsy has now been pushed to Wednesday where chief Government pathologist Johansen Odour will oversee the exercise.
"I was at the scene of the crime on Friday, as a pathologist invited by the DCI and some of the lawyers we're also there.
"They picked up something I mentioned to the DCI at the alleged crime scene and they were not happy. They therefore requested that is should not continue representing the DCI," said Ndegwa.
Mr Ndegwa further said there is an issue with identification, adding that chief suspect in the murder, Mrs Wairimu Cohen, wants to be involved.
"Wairimu feels that she needs to be involved in the identification on what was picked from the crime scene .The suspect neds to be here or needs to send someone to be here," he observed.
Cohen's body was found in a septic tank at his home in Kitisuru after going missing for 40 days. Detectives have placed his wife Wairimu in the murder scene.
On Monday, court allowed detectives to conduct more enquiry to the murder for ten more days. Mrs Cohen is remanded at Lang'ata prison.
An estranged husband to Gilgil MP Martha Wangari is also being held. Peter Karanja is said to have revealed to the police on the whereabouts of the body.
