Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has revisited the happenings during the Kisii Buildings Bridges Initiative (BBI) consultative forum on January 10.
Addressing the press in Nairobi on Tuesday, the Senator Majority Leader criticized leaders who attended the function for doing the complete opposite of what BBI proposes.
He said that the leaders proceeded to disregard fellow leaders deemed to be opposed to the BBI, saying that they "resulted to the very callous tactics rejected by the BBI report."
He made the remarks as he declared that allies of Deputy President William Ruto, who have not been part of the BBI forums, will join them, and will be present for the Coast edition scheduled for Mombasa on Saturday.
Murkomen stated that the group will also mobilize their supporters from across the country to bring their vies, after realizing that the forums have begun with Kenyans still in the dark on the BBI report's contents.
"It has come to our attention that a section of the political leadership has already commenced public rallies aimed at politicizing the BBI process,” he added.
The DP's side has not been enjoying any representation in the forums, which has seen him be subjected to bashings at the functions, over allegations of fighting the BBI push.
