Popular Tanzanian musician Abdu Kiba has reacted to allegations of his brother Ali Kiba and his Kenyan wife parting ways.
This comes after the breakup allegations emerged after Ali Kiba's wife Amina Khalef Rikesh failed to show up at Abdu Kiba's son's birthday party. Amina was however not the only one who was absent, Abdu Kiba's wife also did not attend the birthday party.
The absence of Amina at the party was viewed by some as confirmation of the break up with her husband.
Speaking during an interview with Risasi Jumamosi, Abdu Kiba brushed off the allegations citing that he and his brother Ali Kiba were in good terms with their wives. Abdu Kiba further explained that Ali Kiba's wife was not in Tanzania where the birthday celebrations were held.
"It’s true our wives did not attend my son’s birthday. My wife has traveled to Zanzibar while Ali’s wife has been in Kenya for three weeks. Our marriages are not on the rocks as people claim,” Abdu Kiba stated as quoted by SDE.
Ali Kiba is one of the leading musicians in East Africa and he enjoys a huge following in the country. His marriage to a Kenyan lady has further cemented his relationship with Kenya.
