An unidentified cabinet secretary is worried that he could be in the radar of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Hajji following the indictment and arrest of Finance Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich, k24tv.co.ke has reported.
The cabinet secretary is said to be linked to a string of scandals and is psychologically prepared for an arrest should it come.
"Cabinet secretary is reportedly sitting on the edge of his seat following the arrest and prosecution of his Treasury counterpart Henry Rotich. The minister, who has been linked to a number of scandals in the government, is worried he could be the next in line and is said to have packed, ready for any eventuality, " k24.co.ke wrote.
K24 TV reported that the CS did not report for work on Monday as expected.
The revelation comes amid a crackdown by the Office of Director of Public Prosecutions on those suspected of abuse of office and corruption.
DPP Hajji said that he would go for the 'big fish' as he wages a relentless war on corruption.
President Uhuru Kenyatta in a past speech said that any civil servant implicated in graft and arraigned in court would have to step aside until they are cleared of wrongdoing.
