Fallen Kibra MP Ken Okoth’s mother has indicated that his late son did not sire any child, warning against anyone coming up with claims that he sired a child.
Angeline Ajwang said there’s a possibility of women coming up with claims that they got a child with the MP who died last week, aged 41 years.
“Ken did not sire any child. I know many women will come out to claim they have at least a child with Ken,” she said as quoted by K24 Digital on Tuesday.
Okoth’s parents separated in the 80’s when he was still young, an issue that has caused divisions of where he should be buried.
A section of his paternal relatives want him to be laid down to rest next to his father’s grave in Kochia Ward, Homabay County in accordance with Luo traditions.
But his mother says her wish is to have him buried at her ancestral home in Ogenga village, Kabondo Kasipul constituency.
“I am of the opinion that he be buried at Kabondo Kasipul in Homa Bay County, where I wake up and see his grave every day,” she said.
Okoth succumbed to cancer last week. His body is being preserved at the Lee Funeral Mortuary as burial arrangements continue.
