64 people narrowly escaped death when the bus they were travelling in fall on one of its sides at Koigo stretch on the busy Migori-Kisii highway last night.
According to Migori traffic commander Aggrey Ukiru, the bus driver Paul Mwaura lost control of the vehicle as he avoided hitting a bodaboda operator who was on the road and finally landed to one side of the bus.
He said that the passengers who were on board in the Migori bound bus from Nairobi survived death and had slight injuries as some of them sought medical care at Migori referral hospital and Ombo mission hospital but were later discharged.
The traffic boss however advised all road users to be sober and keen to avoid accidents and death during this festive season.
