Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has launched a scathing attack at the Central Organization of Trade Unions ( COTU) boss Francis Atwoli for claiming he always hosts ODM Leader Raila Amolo Odinga at his home every boxing day.
In a tweet on Monday, Khalwale asked the COTU boss to keep off the Mulembe nation affairs because he is not sincere.
The former legislator said that the community cannot entrust its leadership in such persons. He alluded that Atwoli has betrayed the community and he does not speak on its behalf anywhere when it comes to matters of leadership.
"Thank u Mzee Atwoli for confirming what many have suspected all along. Namely who ua relatives are & therefore ua real identity. Sir, on matters ethnicity, please stick to ua lane and speak/plan for ua community. Kindly keep off the affairs of the Abaluhyia," he tweeted.
The COTU boss had also said that they never discuss matters to do with politics whenever they meet with Raila at his home. He noted that they share cordial ties outside the political arena.
"Raila is my relative and he visits me every Boxing Day when he brings around his family. We don’t discuss politics during such meetings," he tweeted.
The remarks come at the backdrop of the heated debate on the implementation of the BBI report
